Twenty-nine institutions and companies from the Russian Federation will demonstrate the latest innovative products and technological developments at the ITF 2009 to be held from 28 September to 3 October in Plovdiv. The official participation of the Russian Federation is allocated in Pavilion 11 at the Fairgrounds. 

Institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences, scientific centres, industrial manufacturers and innovative companies will showcase state-of-the-art developments in the field of medicine, computer science, construction, nano-  and biotechnologies, security systems, etc. The unique exposition has been prepared by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation with the kind assistance of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Bulgaria and the Trade Mission of the Russian Federation to Sofia.

The Federal Agency for Science and Innovation, the world-renowned companies Alfa-Med (computer health diagnostics “Sensitive Imago”), BazisStroy (building heat insulation materials), Compomash (environment-friendly transport), Laser-Export (DPSS lasers for use in high-tech R&D, test equipment, etc.), Tradition Group Ltd. (information and management technologies, integrated security solutions), Alukom Rolling Plant, etc. will be among the participants.

A large delegation of officials representing Russian companies, organizations, ministries and institutions will pay a visit to the International Technical Fair 2009 – a token of the strong interest evinced in Bulgaria. The opportunities for joint-venture projects and investments of Bulgarian and Russian companies will be among the highlights on the Day of the Russian Federation at the Autumn Fair, scheduled on 1^st October in Hebros Hall, Congress Centre. The programme will include presentations of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and seven leading companies. They will present innovative technologies and products in the field of glass processing, navigation, software, manufacture of tyres, double-glazed windows, motors, generators, equipment for computer diagnostics.

The Russian Federation is among the 13 countries to organize official participation in the 65^th International Technical Fair. Exhibitors from 44 countries will take part in the event.
