Green technologies to dominate at the Autumn Fair in Plovdiv

Businesses active in the field of green technologies and clean energy tend to be successful regardless of crisis. This information is based on the preliminary data of the International Technical Fair to be held from September 26th to October 1st, 2011. The largest trade fair of investment goods in Southeast Europe is marking a rise of 57% in the number of companies and the occupied exhibition area is up 37%, although there are more than three months before the opening of the 67th ITF.

High activity is demonstrated in the industrial sectors relating to ecology, power generation, energy-saving technology, waste processing equipment, air and water treatment.  This is confirmed by the strong interest in ENECO – the International Exhibition of Power Engineering and Ecology. The applications for participation are registering an increase of 38 % over June last year and the exhibition area is up 57 %.

Electronics and electrical engineering take also leading business positions according to the data of the International Exhibition ELTECH. There is a 70% rise in the number of participating companies, and the occupied exhibition is increased by 67% compared with the same period last year. At present, growths of 105% in the exhibitors' number and of 92% in exhibition area are registered by the International Exhibition of Machine Building. This is a proof that the sector is overcoming the stagnation and the companies re-establish positions on the international market.

The positive trends set by the major forum of investment goods are also due to the anti-crisis programme implemented by International Fair Plovdiv since 2009 in support of businesses. Exhibiting companies are offered 10% to 45% price reduction of the exhibition area rental depending on the size. Regular exhibitors could take advantage of 15% or 20% discount for three or five consecutive participations respectively. Exhibitors are entitled to benefit from one of the discounts at their choice. A further 5% reduction is granted for early payment before July 29th. In that way the flexible marketing policy of the national exhibition centre gives small and medium companies a chance to participate in the business event of European importance, held this year under the slogan "New Life. New Technologies."

Partner country at ITF 2011 is Russia. Official participations are already registered by Chinese Taipei, Greece, Iraq, Slovakia and Turkey. Companies from Germany, Poland and Serbia are organizing joint participations.
