Machine building, power engineering and ecology to become the focus of the International Technical Fair
The sectors of machine building and power engineering show signs of revitalization after a three-year period of crisis. This is obvious from the applications for participation in the upcoming International Technical Fair from 24 – 29 September 2012 submitted by Bulgarian and foreign companies. Companies engaged in these sectors are active participants in the most prestigious forum of investment goods and technologies in Southeast Europe, organized by International Fair Plovdiv.
Ecology and water management are the other two industrial sectors to strengthen their positions at AUTUMN 2012. This is a continuation of their impressive presence at the last year's International Technical Fair held under the sign of green technologies. The forum started with the conclusion of contracts worth EUR 185 million invested in energy saving and waste processing projects. Among the total of 1,482 companies from 44 countries there were 244 new exhibitors and 108 companies that resumed their participation. Visitors from 16 countries attended the fair.
According to expectations, the increased interest in the Autumn Fair will be maintained this year. The sectors related to power engineering and water are the most attractive sectors for the investors at present. Hopes for an upward development of the machine-building industry are associated with an increase in imports.
The growing economic activity in the country will have a positive effect on the exhibitions Machine Building, ENECO (Power Engineering and Ecology), AQUATECH ( Water Management and Technologies) and ELTECH (Electronics and Electrical Engineering), which are part of the International Technical Fair. Further exhibitions within the framework of the Autumn Fair 2012 are AUTOTECH (Transport and Auto Service Equipment), INFOTECH (Information Technologies), STROYTECH (Building Materials, Machines and Technologies), INTERMIN EXPO (Mining Industry) and MOTOR SHOW PLOVDIV.
To support the efforts of businesses to cope with the crises, International Fair Plovdiv offers a number of facilities for the participants in AUTUMN 2012. Exhibitors are granted up to 35% reduction of the rental prices for indoor exhibition area and up to 45% - for outdoor exhibition area. Regular participants receive additional bonuses for consecutive participations. Upon 50% payment of the value of ordered services by 31 July 2012, companies are granted a 5% discount off the amount paid.
