Anniversary Pavilion to showcase countries participating in the First Bulgarian Exposition

Austria, the Czech Republic and Slovakia are already preparing their presentation within the Anniversary Pavilion, specially arranged for the countries that were participants in the First Bulgarian Exposition in 1892. The colourful exposition, which is expected to include 14 countries, will be shown within the duration of the International Technical Fair from 24 to 29 September 2012 as part of the celebrations of the 120th anniversary of the First Bulgarian Agricultural and Industrial Exposition, whose traditions are carried on by International Fair Plovdiv.

Each country will show some country-specific features, i.e. culture, arts, cuisine, souvenirs, etc. and deliver a greeting message on that special occasion. Along with these three countries, further invited countries are Belgium, Croatia, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Romania, Turkey, UK, USA.

The Anniversary Pavilion will also accommodate the exhibition stands of 22 municipalities that helped lay the foundation of the exhibition industry in Bulgaria

A number of events dedicated to the anniversary will revive the spirit of the First Bulgarian Exposition inaugurated on 15 August 1892. International Fair Plovdiv is organizing the 120th anniversary celebration. Some initiatives take place in partnership with the Municipality of Plovdiv.

The culmination of the large-scale celebrations will be marked during the Autumn Fair from 24 to 29 September. Direct and represented exhibitors from 27 countries have already applied for participation in the largest business forum of investment goods and technologies in Southeast Europe.

The event is to be attended by official delegations and guests representing exhibition centres in the Balkans and in Europe, as well as the Central European Fair Alliance (CEFA), whose recently elected president is the businessman Georgi Gergov.
