Up with 9% are the participants and 31% is the increase in occupied exhibition areas for the International Exhibition NATURE, HUNTING, FISHING 2010. A total of 121 companies and exhibits from the 5 countries are on display. The event is organized by International Fair Plovdiv in cooperation with the Executive Forest Agency and the Bulgarian Union of Hunters and Fishermen and is held from 24 to 28 March. At the same time takes place the specialized exhibition Flower Spring and at the end of the week are launched the Italian Festival of Beauty and Hair-Style, the International Education Fair and the International Dog and Cat Shows.
“Over 850 companies have participated in the events organized by the Fair from the beginning of the year and their visitors exceed 55,000”, announced the Executive Director Mr. Bogomil Bonev at the press conference before the opening of NATURE, HUNTING, FISHING.
The regular participants in the exhibition are institutions, professionals and companies engaged in nature protection and conservation as well as the state hunting and forestry enterprises, which demonstrate the opportunities for hunting and fishing in the country. The exhibition offers equipment, gear and accessories for hunting and fishing, sport and leisure and as well as many attractions for the visitors.
“In spite of the crisis one can feel an upturn in this sector”, said the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food, Mr. Georgi Kostov, at the press conference. “The exhibition presenting it is a proof for that – it shows a definite growth in terms of occupied areas and participants”, he added before opening NATURE, HUNTING, FISHING 2010.
"NATURE, HUNTING, FISHING showcases not only the products and services in this sector, but also models of environment friendly business. It is this very connection between nature, business and man that makes the exhibition interesting, useful and attractive. The new element we bring in this year is to make the young people aware of the idea of nature conservation and sustainable use by organizing student competitions and a drawing contest for children", said the Senior Director of the fair, Mr. Ivan Sokolov.
Bow and crossbow shooting, hunting falcons demonstration, competitions in tree planting and cutting of precise circular pieces with a petrol chainsaw are some of the attractions at NATURE, HUNTING, FISHING 2010.
Some of the visitors will win awards provided by International Fair Plovdiv: a hunting jacket, leisure time chair and accessories, two universal Konger travel bags and related accessories. The winners will be drawn at 12 o'clock on 28 March in Pavilion 3, which is accommodating the exhibition.
